Amy Winehouse is set to make a comeback after being absent for a couple of months due to personal issues (related to health, drugs, alcohol, her marriage, etc...).
Winehouse will be performing for the Island 50 celebration on May 31, 7:00 p.m. at the Sheperd’s Bush Empire in London. The celebrations will last for one week and will show past and present artists.
Here's what the troubled singer had to say about her upcoming performance and music in general: "I hope to play some new songs. I'm busy in the studio at the minute." She also added that being busy with her music helps her stay out of trouble. She said, "It's probably for the best. I only end up getting arrested for assault when I go out these days.”
“Island Life” will officially begin on May 25, with performances by various Island artists lined-up from May 26 to 31.
